When a dependent user needs help with all repositioning in bed, Immedia SatinSheet 4D Draw Sheet with Handles is an ideal solution. Not only does it lessen the workload on the caregiver by reducing friction in all four directions, but the addition of handles also allows it to be attached to a hoist for even easier user repositioning. Once placed on top of an Immedia SatinSheet 2D Base Sheet, it allows a caregiver to move the user up, down and side to side. High friction edges on the base sheet minimise the risk of the user sliding off the bed. When turning and repositioning of the user is complete, the draw sheet should be tucked securely under the mattress on both sides to prevent any further movement. This sheet cannot be used on its own and will only work when paired with an Immedia SatinSheet 2D Base Sheet.
This item will come complete with the Immedia SatinSheet 2D Corner Base Sheet, a user can turn themself more easily without sliding down the bed, even if the head end is raised. It has a low friction satin sliding area in the centre allowing independent side-to-side movement, and high friction edges to minimise the risk of sliding off the bed. This is easy to fit on the bed and works well when a thicker mattress is used.
